The Aquanaut
Training Centre was 'born' in 1993 having travelled for 2 years
as a PADI Professional visiting over 40 countries and diving with
well over 75 dive centres. I was not overly impressed with what
I saw. Generally large groups with too little attention given to
the diving skills taught in the pool dive (confined water) sessions.
As a result I was determined to try to build a successful school
based on small groups with a focus on detail and safety. This format
has worked well and is the core of our continued success.
Now 8 years on we are invariably booked up several weeks in advance
for the majority of our courses, especially the beginners course,
the PADI 'Open
Water Certificate' also known as the 'Referral'
when the final Qualifying Dives are completed overseas.
A large percentage of our new customers take advantage of the PADI
'Referral' system, however, it is very satisfying for me when our
'old' customers return to the ATC for further training. They too
I believe, appreciate dealing with the same team members. Often
at this point they ask for joining details about the Aquanaut
Dive Club.
